I have been in Bellows Falls, Vermont, at Chroma Technology, Inc., a company founded by Antioch alumnus Paul Millman, ’68. To say that this has been an experience is an understatement. I have started to grow as a person. I have made some new friends and have learned to spread my wings and fly. If anyone knows me, they know that I do not like change and this has been a major change for me.I am working on the Sales team. I have learned a lot about filters and what they do and don’t do. I have learned how to take things apart to see why they are not working and doing a lot of testing and making sure demo equipment is functioning properly. I am even working on a little side project with two amazing application scientists. I am doing a microscopy project where I am taking photos of samples with different filter sets and comparing the two (one is old and one is a newer set) and then calculating the average signal to noise in the photos. It is all very fun and exciting to see.
I also get to go to San Diego for a Biophysical Society convention that I am very excited about.
This has been a wonderful experience for me.
