Qualifications:

Teaching or childcare experience is preferred but not required. An interest in working with children and families and a love for kids is a must! We are particularly interested in interns who have experience with art, social justice, or social emotional development. Interns will be fingerprinting and cannot have a criminal record.

Learning Opportunities:

There are ample opportunities to learn and grow at CASA. Most prominently, we have a skilled, diverse, and fabulous team of artist/educators- all of whom are open to working with interns to help them with experiential learning. All interns will learn about child development, classroom management, positive discipline, and art and social justice programming for youth. For those who are interested, we also have an onsite Wellness Center and Health and Wellness Counselor (who is an Antioch alumn!). Interns can learn more about social-emotional programming. Additionally, there are opportunities to learn about nonprofit management and fundraising.

Additional Comments:

There is a CASA parent who has been open to housing Antioch students in exchange for some childcare. This has worked really well for past students. SF is a VERY expensive city- and CASA has a very limited budget. We wish we could pay more! We can be somewhat flexible with hours to accommodate a other part-time work.
