Artist Liaison
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Besides gaining hands-on experience producing projects, developing research and contributing to organizational goals, interns will also participate in both internal and external planning meetings, attend staff presentations, and travel to local cultural institutions for behind-the-scenes tours.
Qualifications:
Selection for Creative Time’s internship program is made on the basis of the applicant’s interest and motivation in working for Creative Time, demonstrated ability to contribute, and commitment to a meaningful work experience. Interest and experience in non-profits, public art, and the arts more broadly are a plus. Applicants should have a high attention to detail and be organized, motivated, and self-directed. In addition, solid writing, research, and computer skills are helpful, as is a professional and comfortable phone manner. An interest in contemporary art, a familiarity with the field, a sense of humor, and enthusiasm for Creative Time’s mission and programs are important. Skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, FTP, HTML, art handling, Excel, grant writing, and schmoozing are highly desirable.
