Gould Farm Therapeutic Community

Therapeutic Program Assistant

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Interns work alongside residents to support program leaders in running a successful work-based rehabilitative program. Each intern is placed on 1-2 teams which assist with maintaining the gardens, livestock upkeep, helping prepare healthy, farm fresh meals, keeping up our busy Roadside Café, helping with the bakery operations, and more. Interns help residents build skills and confidence in the work program through compassionate care in a healing community.

Qualifications:

Compassionate approach to working with people, a passion for community, ability to lead teams, experience and/or studies in social services a plus. Interns are encouraged to undertake individualized projects which support their learning objectives while also benefiting the farm.

Learning Opportunities:

These projects may take the form of extra-curricular group activities, work oriented projects, community building events, and more.

Additional Comments:

This is a tentative first step. Business is currently slow, but may need people in the near future.
