Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development Intern

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Students work on organic farms 4 full work days a week, with the work days divided often between 2 different types of farms.

Qualifications:

No skills are necessary, but students must be committed to the program and be able to take initiative. They also need to be healthy and fit enough to ride a bicycle to work, @ 4 miles.

Learning Opportunities:

Students learn about growing food, and on some farms, raising livestock. They learn about living in a small community, and the importance of caring for the environment.
