Miller Fellow
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Three Miller Fellows are requested: A PBL Fellow, a Student Publications Fellow, and a Math Intervention Fellow. The first Miller Fellow will provide support for a variety of Project Based Learning (PBL) activities, including Food for Thought, a ninth grade interdisciplinary curriculum about informed food choice, and miscellaneous PBL projects as assigned. The second Miller Fellow will assist in the publication of The Watchdog, YSHS’s news magazine, and Spectrum, YSHS’s literary magazine, including development and implementation of online platforms for each publication. The third Miller Fellow will provide academic support as a Special Education Intervention Math Tutor. Furthermore, the proposed Miller Fellows –PBL Fellow; Student Publications Fellow; and Math Intervention Fellow– will support a major goal of the 2020 Strategic Plan; that is, to create an innovative teaching and learning model emphasizing 21st century skills, project-based instruction, and use of technology to support instruction.
Additional Comments:
NOTE: This is a three quarter Miller position. You will work part time in fall and winter quarters and work full time for your spring co-op. There is no summer term.
