Assistant Environmental/Industrial Hygiene Technician

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Soil sampling, building material sampling (i.e., asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous building materials or conditions), and building surveying/mapping, prepare samples for laboratory submission, QA/QC of data, and other environmental work as opportunity arises.. Conduct building survey for asbestos and lead-based paint in accordance with regulatory requirements; Conduct field mapping and drafting base maps, Help prepare reports

Qualifications:

Full-time, assistant environmental or industrial hygiene technician internship. Both office and field work will be required. Transportation and Travel – Willing to travel and must have its own transportation to the office in Paramount, CA. Work Location – The primary location of work will be at Panacea’s Paramount office. At this time, it is anticipated 50% office and 50% field work. Pre-Employment Certification Requirement – The intern must complete 40 hours Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification before the employment. The company will pay for the actual cost of the course. The intern is encouraged to take this course online and should retain and submit the receipt with a proof of the course completion for reimbursement. GPA Requirement – 3.0 or above.

Learning Opportunities:
