For my Co-Op, I am working for Town Drug in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Town Drug is a pharmacy that serves the residents of Yellow Springs and the surrounding communities such as Xenia and Springfield. The pharmacy is a small, independent pharmacy. Our operations are small, with a small and loyal customer base. Most of our clients reflect the values of Yellow Springs and age groups. They are mainly elderly people with a spattering of younger people mixed in. Mostly everyone I have encountered has been nothing but nice and patient. I have had very little problem fitting in with the community. Especially when people find out I am a student at Antioch, they get extremely interested in what I am doing and wish me well in my studies. It’s a really heartwarming reaction from the townspeople. You can see how much the college means to them and the town.
It has been a lot of fun getting to know the residents of the town and serving the community. I have made a lot of personal connections. My coworkers are a treat to be around and the pharmacists are fun to work with. They are very smart and insightful. My colleague said she could help set up my next co-op if I wanted to work with a doctor directly. I look forward to continuing my work here throughout the years.
